The Dance

Dance with me, d
ance with me, my love.

Forgive my lack of poetry—

The heart speaks on its own,

I try to capture the language as it goes by.

Dance with me, let our souls intertwine

In the starlight of silenced time.

What words need we have?

What more is there to say—

Than I love you, my treasured flower,

I love you.

Dance with me in the garden of our youth,

In the kingly placed divine.

Inside our Eden, treasure me—

Treasure me, envelop me.

Dance with me under the stars,

Under the trees, let us be one.

The fruit of passion,

The seeds that grace has bore,

Give sight, give hope,

Give life again

To troubled hearts,

To fractured souls sought to mend.

This glimpse of eternity

Found in your eyes,

Silences my mind—brings peace.

Dance with me, my love,

My One.

My husband, cherished dear.

Dance with me, my love,

Let us silence the night

And envelope the dawn.

I love this, beautifully written.

Yay! I really like how it is about us. I do want to dance with you. Our spirits and souls combined. I love you so much. It is a beautifully composed poem...music is heard through the words.

Really beautiful poem, thank you for encapsulating a moment so perfect, now everything around me seems so mundane and gray.
